Terms of Service
Effective October 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and NovaThrive LLC ("we", "us") governing the TripNova apps, website, and cloud services (together, the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using TripNova, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use TripNova for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
Creating or explicitly re-enrolling a TripNova account uses a NovaThrive Account. The account-creation action beside the linked Terms records your agreement to the version presented. Reading the Privacy Policy explains processing; acknowledging that notice does not grant blanket consent to every use of personal data.
2. Eligibility
TripNova is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. The required-birthday signup flow checks your declared full date of birth before account creation. Provide accurate information and correct it if it is wrong. The linked Privacy Policy explains private birthday storage, internal age-group statistics, and your rights. If the declared date shows that you are under 18, TripNova does not create the account; existing local work is preserved.
3. The Service
TripNova helps you import bookings, build day-by-day itineraries, organize trip details, and follow your plans while you travel. It is local-first: trips are saved to your device first. If you create an account, the trips in your account are backed up and synced automatically; trips you plan as a guest stay on your device unless you choose to move them into your account. Cloud backup requires an account and an internet connection, as will collaboration features when they launch.
TripNova is under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and planned, preview, or "coming soon" features are not guaranteed to launch. We will not materially reduce a paid feature during a prepaid period without providing any remedy required by law; paid plans are not currently offered and will have additional billing terms if introduced.
4. Your account
You can use local trip-planning features as a guest. If you create an account, provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by us or by circumstances the law says are not your responsibility.
You may delete your account at any time through the released app's Settings screen or by using the request method in the Privacy Policy. Deletion does not remotely remove copies another trip member has already exported or saved to their own device.
A NovaThrive sign-in identity is kept until you erase it. We may delete an identity whose email is never verified after 30 days. We may also delete an identity not used to sign in for 24 months, with its TripNova data; we send an email warning first and wait 30 days.
5. License to use TripNova
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app and access the Service for lawful purposes. The software is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Service except where applicable law or an open-source license expressly allows it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in violation of applicable law or another person's rights;
- upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that you are not entitled to share;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, trips, data, or systems;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, scrape, or probe the Service or evade its security or rate limits;
- harass, abuse, track, or harm another person through the Service;
- reverse engineer or extract source code except to the extent the law expressly permits it.
7. Your content and shared trips
You retain ownership of trips, itineraries, notes, images, files, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to operate the Service, for example, to sync it across your devices and, once shared trips launch, to make a shared trip available to people you invite. This license ends when the content or account is deleted, subject to the backup window in the Privacy Policy and legal obligations that may apply.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights needed to use it. If you add personal information about a companion, such as their name or contact details, you must be entitled to use it for the trip and must not add unnecessary sensitive information. When shared trips launch, inviting someone will share the trip's content with them according to their assigned role.
Members of a shared trip will be able to edit shared content if their role permits and to export or save copies. Keep your own copy of important travel information. Local-only guest data may be lost if you delete the app, clear browser storage, lose the device, or remove its local storage. Cloud sync is not a substitute for keeping critical booking documents with the relevant provider.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including the TripNova name, logo, software, design, and our content, belongs to NovaThrive LLC and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license in section 5, these Terms grant no right to our intellectual property or branding.
9. Third-party services and app stores
TripNova relies on third-party infrastructure and information services, as described in the Privacy Policy. Place, route, map, weather, transport, and destination information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate; verify information that affects your travel or safety. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
If you download TripNova from an app store, the store's usage rules and standard end-user license terms also apply. To the extent these Terms conflict with mandatory app-store terms, those mandatory terms control for that platform.
10. Travel and service disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent availability of any feature, or that information in the Service is complete or current.
TripNova organizes information; it does not book, insure, guarantee, or take responsibility for flights, accommodation, activities, entry requirements, or other travel arrangements. It is not an emergency, navigation, or safety service. Verify bookings, routes, official travel advice, visa and health rules, and other important details with the responsible provider or authority. Details TripNova reads from booking confirmations you import may be incomplete or wrong; review them before you save them and check them against your booking.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NovaThrive LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is unlawful, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or mandatory statutory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using TripNova at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or end access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or use the Service in a way that could harm another person, us, or a third party. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and general provisions, will survive.
13. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may change these Terms for legal or regulatory reasons, for security, or to reflect changes to the Service. We will tell you about material changes in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, unless the law requires a change sooner, and you may delete your account before then.
14. Applicable law
These Terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights under the law of the country or region where you live. In the absence of a valid choice of law, the law and courts that apply to a dispute are determined under applicable conflict-of-law and jurisdiction rules.
15. General
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law. These Terms and the documents they expressly incorporate form the agreement between you and us about the Service.
16. Sign-in codes by text message (SMS terms)
These SMS terms are part of these Terms and apply only where TripNova offers sign-in codes by text message. Where it does not, TripNova sends no text messages.
Subscribers opt in through the TripNova app, including the web app at app.tripnova.io, to receive verification messages from TripNova, operated by NovaThrive LLC, powered by AWS Notify. Message frequency may vary per user.
What we send. We send only one-time codes to sign up or sign in, and only when a code is requested for your number in the app. We never send marketing or promotional text messages. Before the first code of each request, the app shows the opt-in with an unchecked checkbox, the notices below, and links to these SMS terms and to the SMS section of the Privacy Policy. Ticking the checkbox is how we record, for mobile carriers, that you asked for the code. Codes you ask us to resend during the same request rely on that same opt-in, and a new request shows it again. Accepting these Terms does not by itself opt you in to receive text messages.
HELP and STOP. Text "HELP" for help. Text "STOP" to cancel. For these one-time codes, STOP is informational: texts arrive only when a code is requested for your number, so there is no ongoing subscription to cancel. Replying STOP does not create a lasting opt-out, because each request for a code is a new opt-in, and nothing further is sent unless a code is requested again. If you receive a code you did not request, do not share it and contact us.
Rates and carriers. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
Countries. Sign-in codes by text message are not available in every country, and delivery depends on your mobile carrier. If your number is not supported or a code does not arrive, you can use email instead.
Support. For all questions about the services provided, you can send an email to legal@tripnova.io. You can contact us without signing in. If you have questions regarding privacy, please read our Privacy Policy.
17. Contact
