What TripNova is
TripNova is a trip planner for the web, iOS, and Android. The iOS and Android apps are coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. A trip is a day-by-day itinerary of flights, stays, restaurants, activities, and notes, with a map of its stops, weather forecasts for the next few days, packing checklists, documents and photos, a list of travelers, and a PDF copy to print or share. On the day, TripNova opens to what is happening now and what is next.
It is built so that you can start in seconds. Add a flight or hotel confirmation and TripNova sets up the trip, or just give the trip a name. The home page lists what is planned under What’s next, separate from what works today.
What TripNova stands for
- Guest first. You can plan without an account. Opening TripNova does not create a cloud account or upload your trips, and a free account is optional. It adds backup and sync. See the trip planner with no sign-up.
- Offline first. Every trip is saved to your device first, so you can build and edit an itinerary without a connection. Weather, place search, and map tiles need one. See the offline trip planner.
- On-device import. Booking confirmations are read on your device and are not uploaded to be read, and nothing is added to a trip until you review and save it. See how to import flight and hotel bookings.
Your data
Guest trips stay on your device. If you create an account, the trips in it are backed up and synced once your email is verified, and guest trips move in only if you accept the offer. You can take your data with you or remove it. In Settings, Export my data is under Privacy & data and writes your data to a JSON file. The last group of Settings holds the deletion controls: Delete TripNova account, under Delete account, removes that account’s TripNova data, while guest trips you never moved into it stay on the device. A guest has Erase data on this device, under Erase data, instead. Your NovaThrive sign-in identity is erased separately, on request. See how to delete your account, in the app or by email. The privacy policy explains what TripNova handles, why, and for how long.
The web app and the mobile apps
The web app at app.tripnova.io needs no download and no sign-up. It keeps your trips in your browser, can work offline once it has been opened online on that device, and imports PDFs, saved emails, Apple Wallet passes, and pasted text. The iOS and Android apps keep trips on your phone, add reminders for plans and checklist items, and can also read photos, screenshots, scans, and boarding-pass barcodes when you import a booking. The iOS and Android apps are coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
